Hyco Lake is located between Roxboro, NC and
Danville, VA on Hwy 57N. or Roxboro about 9 mile so we are convenient from most anywhere in central NC
and VA.

Directions from Durham/Raleigh, NC
- Take Guess Road North toward Hurdle Mills.
- Go thru Caldwell crossing intersection of Hwy 57 in Caldwell to
Hurdle Mills.
- At intersection of Hwy 157, turn left and go about 1/4 mile and
bear right onto Union Grove Church Road.
- Be prepared to turn right onto Charlie Long Rd. which is only
another 1/4 mile down Union Grove.
- Go down Charlie Long about 3 miles to intersection of Hwy 49.
- Cross intersection onto Frank Whitfield Road and go about 4
miles. This road turns into Rolling Hills Rd. until intersection
with Hwy 158.
- Turn left onto Hwy 158 and go about 2 miles and turn onto Ralph
Winstead Rd.
- Follow Ralph Winstead about 4 miles coming to a right-hand curve
that turns into Concord Church Rd - Don't turn left onto Ralph
Winstead and watch out for the abrupt curve.
- Go about another mile and turn onto Wagstaff Road.
- Go about 1 mile on Wagstaff to the intersection at Hwy 57.
- Turn left onto Hwy 57 and go across the bridge looking for the gas
station and Lakeside Grill on the right.
- You've arrived!

Interesting Sites along the way
- Orange County Speedway is just down the road on Hwy 57 North when
you stop at the flashing light at Caldwell. Turn left and it
is only a few miles down on the left.
- While on Charlie Long Rd., you will pass by our new winery. Rock of Ages Winery
has wine tasting, restaurant
and tours available. www.rockofageswinery.com
- While at Hyco Lake, you can swim, camp or just rest in the public
access area. Just go up Kelly Brewer Rd. from Lakeside Grill
and the park is on the right in 1/2 mile.
- If you desire a different route going back to Durham, go north on
Hwy 57 about 2 miles and turn left on Hwy 119. Follow 119 all
the way to Hwy 85/40 near Mebane and then take 85 North back to
Durham. If you are in a hurry, from Lakeside Grill take Hwy 57
South to Roxboro and turn left on Hwy 501 South to travel back to
the Durham area. A good place to gas up and rest your butt is
just south of Roxboro beyond Palace Pointe entertainment complex is
Southside Citgo.
